If you are keen to get off the grid this is the place for it! Absolutely spectacular beaches with reef fish - great snorkeling and so good to get the kids off technology and enjoying the amazing WA coastline.
Beautiful coral reefs that are so close to shore that you can swim out to them. Stunning array of fish, stingrays, turtles and other marine life. Eco Adventures Sea Kayaking and snorkelling was brilliant. Neri was a wonderful guide and very friendly. Snorkelling at Turquoise...More
The reef was amazing to snorkel - coral, fish, turtles. I also went to the outer reef to see reef sharks and although the sea was a bit choppy - OK very choppy - it was worth the trip. I wore sea sick bands and...More
Its remote, sandy, windy and treeless. However, its a location unlike most others for a unique Wilderness camping experience. You will need to bring in everything you need as there are no facilities, shops, water, electricity, toilets or any other comforts other than what you...More
Thoroughly recommend Ningaloo Divers. We had a super trip out to see the whale sharks. Boat was comfortable although getting on and off the boat was a bit difficult for my husband who is 79 - but he always had help available and the crew...More
Fringing reefs are not common in Australia but a section of coast from Coral Bay north to Exmouth has stretches of reef easily accessible from local beaches as at Coral Bay and Turquoise Bay. Additionally there are water-basd tours taking you on snorkelling tours and/or...More

I stayed at Coral Bay as that is where the reef tours etc go from. We only had two nights/one full day (I was on a tour) which was OK but 2-3 days would have been nice. Exmouth is about an hour and a half away so if you can stay at Coral Bay that would be better. Take sea sickness tablets if you're going outside the reef. I did a whale shark tour and it was great. I did get sick but the staff were excellent and there were a lot of jumps off the boat to see the whale sharks. Once in the water they were very aware of looking after the whale sharks as well as us. Enjoy!
