Breathtaking views of the canyon. Beautiful sunset views as well. Grab a seat and enjoy the view. This structure is impressive. Learn about its history and the architect when you visit.

Go here on the east side of the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Commanding views. Interesting structure. Go inside and explore. The views of the Canyon here are sweeping. You can see the Colorado River at the bottom. Excellent!

Definitely take the time to stop here as you enter or exit GCNP. The tower is a work of art inside and out and hosts artists in the bottom floor. Go up the stairs and take time to appreciate the paintings. The view is wonderful...More

The view of the south rim at the Grand Canyon from this watchtower is breathtaking. We went at the end of September and the weather is very nice and not overly crowded. Recommend when visiting the Grand Canyon, they also have two gift shops.

The watchtower was a great stop. there were some interesting things inside and the view from the top was even better than the one from the ground. Would recommend making this stop.

Desert view watchtower is simply an amazing place to view the South Rim and the desert beyond. Blending in with the canyon itself, it is truly amazing to see. Our second favorite stop after Yavapai Point.

A comfortable bus (with bathroom and a breakfast box) picked us up at a Las Vegas hotel and drove us to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon, about 2 1/2 hours. We spent about 5 hours exploring three interesting sites. The best was the...More

This was the place where I first viewed the Grand Canyon, back in 1966 and since have visited several times, including an aerial tour from Vegas. This place is still breathtaking and I could spend many hours just sitting and looking, but this has become...More

Plenty of parking at this location so driving is NOT. A problem. Gives you more flexibility for sure.

We drove through the park and didn't pay anything. The tower was also free. We came in from the east. I think there are several entrances.
