This local public beach was beautiful. The water is not very deep, and is really warm and gentle. I would recommend lots of sunscreen, hat, etc, as there really isn't any shade, unless you sit inside Big Mama's.

My favorite place to relax when in Aruba. Not to many shady places at baby beach but you can rent chairs and tents. No public bathroom. You have to make a purchase at big mama’s to be able to use the restroom

We stayed at Riu and had a rented car. The drive took us about 45 min. Honestly it was not worth the time. Riu is located on a beautiful stretch of beach. Baby Beach is overrated as another reply stated. You have to pay to rent chairs $7 per chair, palapa are free on a first come first basis. It can get really crowded and plus you have a view of some oil/power plant. The bathroom has a fee so the sea serves as a free toilet for those arriving from cruise ships.
