Recent 15 million renovation . A must visit. Museum tells the history of Jews fleeing inquisition and starting the growing of sugar in Barbados making it one of the wealthiest colonies of England. A coffee shop is also on site. A World Heritage Site .

We visited the Synagogue and Museum in late April and cannot say enough of the wonders of this history. They have documented many "unknown" tidbits of information and have a beautiful area!

We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Neal the volunteer is real added value - nice guy and very informative! The synagogue, bath house and museum areall interesting. Worth a visit!

I would take a taxi there and walk back. Nidhe Israel Synagogue Visiting Hours: Weekdays 9:00 am – 4:00 pm Saturdays 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, mid-December to mid-April Prayer Services: Friday 6:30 pm, mid-December to mid-April

Opening hours for the synagogue & museum are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. $25 is the fee to visit the museum. For visits, you may dress casual including wearing shorts for visit. For church services... More
