The tour costs $2, and is very well worth it. You will instantly travel back to the 1500s. The place is well preserved, with artifacts and original documents from the 1500s, signed by Colon.

It's a museum displaying the clothes, items and routines of daily life that went on at such a home in the when columbus and his son Diego were alive, also Francis Drake burned most of it centuries ago trying to strong arm the Spanish.

Visit only if you find monuments interesting. The museum is clean but not very huge. Items kept inside the museum are maintained though.

Gotta do it. $2/ person with audio. Interesting tour check full of period (ish) things. Imagine yourself as it must have been 500 years ago. Quick tour--maybe an hour at a slow pace.

Tour is very interesting for history lovers. It is filled with tidbits from the colonial times of Santo Domingo. It is a must see if you are in the Colonial City. Very educational for adults however kids must be history buffs.
