Entrance fee $2 USD Didn't have time to go in but the views were breathtaking. Worth a stop. You get the mountains, fort and sea all in one.

Had to wait behind a field trip group that was ran roughshod all over the place. Not really worth it to see a pretty small fort.

Once in Puerta Plata, you should visit this historic place. Even the architecture is interesting. Inside the ticket zone, there is a small interesting museum with historic pictures and old weapons. It is also interesting to walk through the outside area and the surrounding.

Yes there are restrooms but I did not use them so cannot comment on the cleanliness. Sounds like others answered as well and they had used the facilities

There is a small fee (a few dollars). Some parking...kids might like it. Doesn't take long to see it (half hour to an hour, tops). Avoid hottest part of the day if possible. Bring water.
