The French side of St Martin is slowly recovering from hurricane Irma. There are some areas still under construction and some areas left as they fell. Marigot waterfront with restaurants, marina, market and shops offers a pleasant walk if you have free time after visiting...More

We found parking in a lot ($2 hr) and got to the market along the water. Lots of stands but 99% had the same kitschy tourist stuff. We did get a nice conch shell for $7 but not much of true local souvenirs. Did have...More

This is the typical Caribe market, with all kinds of trinkets, t-shirts, dresses, etc., etc. The problem is that many of the vendors have the same selections. There aren't many unique offerings. We drove ourselves there and parking was easy, we were done in under...More

We drove over from the Dutch side on a Saturday morning to check out the Marigot Market. Located adjacent to the pretty harbor/marina, it’s a pleasant walk among the colorful stalls. As noted in other reviews, much of the merchandise is repetitive but there are...More

The Marigot Market at the wharf & cruise ship tender dock is full of shopping stalls of various different vendors. Many of the items like t-shirts & clothing are imported that are sold here. There are many stalls offering arts & crafts items and jewelry....More

The market is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Since Hurricane Irma things are a little less on the island. The market is an OK place to complete your souvenir shopping list. The reason for the average rating is because of limited parking and congested driving....More

We visited on two different days - first while there was no cruise ship in Marigot (forget about it, there literally were 2 stands) and the following day when the cruise ship was in town... this is when all of the vendors come out so...More

This was just MEH. We’ve been here before and the market this time was not great. Too much of the same things you can get anywhere. There were 2 cruise ships that day (a Saturday) but still there were many stores closed and not as...More

I love this place but, after the hurricane, many shops didn’t survive including an excellent bread shop. Too bad for all but definitely a great place to visit and shop

Active market, you could buy some nice souvenirs...even if there's no big room for negotiations. Lot of nice restaurants, barbacues etc. Overhelming offer in terms of icecreams and fresh fruit juice.
