We were there from Thanksgiving to New Years. The Zocalo was such a fun/busy place to walk around at night ... so many lights and decorations, music playing everywhere. Lots of restaurants to choose from too. Tons of vendors set up tables in the evenings...More

In order to get a real flavor of Mexico and Acapulco, find the main Zocalo or town square. Local culture hits you right in the face. Local merchants display their wares and its a good place to souvenir shop. Don’t forget to bargain.

Was nice to wait inside the ac and drink a beer while we wait for the boat to go.. the church have a unique architecture. :)

Ive been to the zocalo many times but they recently renovated it and destroyed a lot of the natural beauty such as removing a lot of the old trees there.Its still a nice place to visit but not like before.There are still stores and restaurants...More

There is a cathedral, which can't be seen from distance as there are so many trees covering it. Few, very few restaurants but so many street sellers. Its crowded with people selling the regular non-interesting things
