Ventured to playa Norte from Cancun for the day with a friend that had been many times before, and throughly enjoyed the experience. I was treated to a wonderful tour of the entire island via golf cart, and The views were absolutely spectacular!! I loved...More

If you visit Isla Mujeres, walking along Playa Norte and watching the sunset is a must. Soft white sand, many places to eat and drink, chair and umbrella rentals are available for about $12 US (or less) all along the beach.

The catamaran trip would restrict your time enjoying all that Isla has to offer. I would take an early ferry, have breakfast and get a golf cart. You can rent a cart for the day from 800 to 1000 pesos. Make a list of every place you want to visit, where you want to eat so you can make good use of your cart. If you want to go snorkeling the cart will come in handy. If you have any other questions please message me on Facebook, My name is Jeniffer Pentico Holubec and we have visited Isla at least 8 times.
