You would not go to Mérida for the cathedral, but it is in the city center so a nice stop while discovering the lovely city of Mérida.

Nice and peaceful place for meditation and contemplation (and prayer if you are so inclined). It's not the most beautiful place I have ever seen, but interesting in its own way.

Nice and romantic walk around the cathedral! There is a nice ice cream store next to the plaza. Get a paleta and enjoy the view on this historic building right outside in the lcute little park on one of the green benches there! :)

Gorgeous church to visit. One of the first catholic churches in the area. I enjoyed learning about it's history. It's very beautiful.
