Yes, I know bridges are simply there to allow transit from one side to the other. However this bridge is indeed a stately structure affording fantastic views of Burrard Inlet, Vancouver Harbour, North Vancouver, and the downtown skyline. The bridge is especially handsome at night...More

Traveled this bridge for work and it's one of two ways to go with a vehicle back & forth between the North Shore! Iconic structure however better to see it than travel on it pending the time of day. I find its better to see...More

It’s not the bay bridge, but it’s still lovely to look at! The views from Ambleside Park as well as Stanley Park are awesome. Driving across it is great also.

It is a majestic bridge that joins Stanley Park with Northern Vancouver. We saw it when we were riding round Stanley Park where a 'local' described it as a smaller version of the Golden Gate Bridge. We also drove across it when we went to...More

Fabulous looking bridge that connects North vancouver with Stanley park. Reminds me of the bridge in Lisbon crossing the Tagus. Looking forward to actually crossing on our trips out.

Well worth a walk along the sea wall to view the great engineering of the Lions Gate Bridge. When leaving Vancouver to travel to Whistler we drove out over the bridge, a lovely experience.

This is a fun activity, especially for locals. Suggest parking on the West Vancouver side, walking over to Stanley Park's Prospect Point Cafe for lunch, then walking back. There are two bump outs along the way where you can stop for photos to appreciate the...More

All bridges are a means to cross water. In this case it is that; however, it does afford one with views of the lovely harbor area.

We took the Lion’s Gate Bridge from North Vancouver over to Stanley Park and really enjoyed the sweeping views of the harbor. It is surprising that a bridge which I imagine carries a good bit of traffic is only three lanes where the center one...More

All bridges over harbours have a sense of departure or arrival. Compared with some of the very big ones this is much more low key, but looks the part. The lion statues at the entrance are quite good.

Stanley Park
Stanley Park is Vancouver's premier spot to get up
close and personal with nature and animals. The grassy
expanse offers outdoor teahouses and stunning views,
beachfront hideaways and splash parks. It is a typical
getaway spot for friends and families, especially as
it is home to Vancouver's aquarium, and some of its
best equestrian outlets.
