Excellent museum reflects on the early people’s and the exploitation of the country by the European nations. Some exhibits are too dark and the information impossible to read particularly relating to the first generation

This place is a gem: a beautiful building in a fabulous location. There is far too much here to take in in only one visit. We enjoyed spending time on the 3rd level, as well as viewing a fabulous film on the spirit bear and...More

On our last seeing things in Ottawa and surrounding areas, we saw the Canadian Museum of History. Turns out we saved the best for last. We loved this place

Great architecture by Richard Cardinal! You can spend as much or as little time at each area as you wish, but plan for half a day at least.... Great exhibits. Good movie theatre. Nice views of the river and Parliament buildings, too.

Comprehensive collection of so much history and we learned so much. The bear film was also very interesting. Be sure to leave plenty of time to explore as it is all worthwhile.

We were exhausted... so much to see... should not have tried to see it all in one visit but a bit expensive to have a repeat visit.

The young lady who took our group was very informative and passionate about her history, and it showed. (she was first nation). It really opened my eyes to the history of Canada and was well worth the visit.

It is an awesome museum. Beautifully laid out and presented. The Bear film was stunning! The children's area was very ‘hands on’ and showed different cultures through play. Very imaginative fun through learning for all ages and with wonderful staff who were so friendly and...More

What a fantastic museum! We took our 7 year old grandsons from Tokyo there and we loved it. There is so much to learn about Canada and our history and the museum does its best to cover everything. We also visited the children's museum which...More
