It is a very beautiful avenue with century old trees, located in the city center, from time to time there are markets on the sidewalk

If you only had one afternoon to try to absorb the notion of the Gallic experience, I’d recommend this pedestrian thoroughfare. First it’s Provence, not polyglot Paris, not semi-Swiss Haut Savoie. It’s sedate, architecturally exquisite, and throbbing with both youth and intelligentsia. There is great...More

We expected the Cours Mirabeau to be a spectacular stretch of roadway. I guess we had too high a level of it being different than other main thoroughfares in other cities because it really isn't any different. There are many many high end shops and...More

Cours Mirabeau is a pretty, tree lined street with lots of restaurants, cafes and boutiques. Most of the restaurants specialize in grilling local fish and are quite good and reasonable. Great people watching. It’s the central point in Aix and takes you to lots of...More

Located toward the end of the long Mirabeau place this building facade is a nice thing to admire while sitting on one of the nearby benches enjoying a beverage.Little historical or artistic significance.

We enjoyed a leisurely stroll down the street. It had many stores for purchasing or just window shopping. Also people watching for all the latest fashion. Had a nice lunch at an outdoor cafe. Many choices of places to eat.

Not quite the glamorous boulevard it used to be, but stop for 'tartine' and watch the parade of locals shopping and chatting.

Stroll with confidence down this lovely walk way. 3 fountains add to the picture perfect setting. Lots of places to eat and we did several.

With such shiny cobblestones and being so spacious, you very much get the sense that this is the Paris of Provence. Prices of the cafes/restaurants along here reflect that, but it is a lovely street to walk down and watch everything happen around you. There...More

We very much enjoyed the Hotel Cézanne about five minutes walk from the Cours. It’s also close to the local commuter rail station to Marseille should you want to go there.

What a pity I didn’t see your question before! In fact all those huge roadworks are going to last till September 2019...
