Most people spend their time in visiting the old port area of the city. However, there is a beautiful park which can be easily reached by subway i.e. the Parc LongChamp. The water fountain feature is one of the largest fountain in Europe. Everything built...More

One of the most popular sites in Marseille is the Longshan Palace, an impressive building built in the 19th century to honor the founding of the Marseille Canal, which brought water to the city. The palace consists of three parts, with the western part containing...More

Great place to stroll for a couple of hours. Really enjoyed the relaxing environment, not crowded when we went in August.

This is not the huge palace you may expect based on the photos, it is mostly a façade with a building on each end. However, this impressive façade and fountains do merit a photo stop. Take the Metro to Cinq Avenue Longchamp to reach the...More

Thank you, Jas, for your response. We will take tram to go to Notre Dam Cathedral, and then back to old town. Probably will be able to find another tram or metro to go to Palais Longchamp at Vieux Port. Thanks again.
