We were staying close to this little fishing cove and found it made a nice sunset walk. Most days it was fairly quiet. The restaurants and cafes are closed at that time, I think they open around 19:30. Very scenic little cove.

You would never guess a place like this exists in the center of France's 2d city, literally a walk away and a beautiful old port and some really nice restaurants, even a place to swim!

This one is so amazing, in the heart of marseille, a small village, go there and eat at the restaurant a bouillabaise breath taking seafood stew, you have to book a table prior getting to be safe.

We have swum often at Vallon des Auffes over the last few years. It is generally a charming local swimming spot, beautiful clear water in which you can see small fish swimming. But today there was a lot of rubbish in the water. Very unsightly...More

Easy to reach with bus 83 from the main port. When you get there, you need to go downstairs from the main road. Nice atmosphere, like a little fish village with beautiful, colorful houses and many details, boats, older and new. Nearby is a beach...More

Marseille is a city with the best walks. My only downer is if you do it in July it's pretty hot so you need to be up early. And done by Midday. So get lost in Marseille and you won't be disappointed.

You forget you are in an urban town. very picturesque, like an oasis in the past, a little treasure to be discovered.

This place should be list as seafood restaurant only, not as an attraction as there is nothing to see there

Old time small fishermans' harbor tucked inside a small inlet surrounded by steep hillsides built up with residences and low rise apartments. Still, a colorful active fishing harbor with several seafood restaurants but honestly, can't compare with most harbors in the area.

This is a little cove about 1 KM from the center of Marseille. It includes several restaurants and is very picturesque. To get here, you can take several different buses from the center of Marseille.

Hotel Peron is ca.5-6 minutes walking, with beautiful views to the see. Haven't stayed there but have seen as we were walking back from the Vallon des Auffes. It looked nice from outside! There is a very good bus connection... More
