Only a couple of blocks but it is very different vibe to the bustling Berlin hot spots. I would call the businesses here more artisan, the main church has renovations in progress. Walk around then past the Kiss 1855 sculpure to the river bank and...More

Nice area in Berlin, however it is mostly not original but rebuilt after WW2 when it was mostly destroyed in bombings. Nice for a walk or a cafeteria visit.

Saved the best til last. Nikolaiviertel is my favourite part of Berlin. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle this quarter hosts an array of cafes, restaurants, shops and bars dotted around its cobbled streets and in the shadow of the church. Be sure to...More

This is a lively and historical area around St Nicholos church. The area used to belong to the East and had been restored already. There are many cafes and beautiful old buildings here. You can explore this area and at the same time relax at...More

Spent part of a day in the Nicholas Quarter while on vacation in Berlin with my spouse. We really enjoyed walking around the small area to admire the restored old-style town architecture and pop into shops and restaurants. The Nicholas Quarter is a small area...More

We visited the area and wasn't really that impressed by it. The whole area is clean with some shops and restaurants, but ti didn't feel like it was 'old town' and the area is actually really small.
