On Saturday I ran around Frankfurt, I had time to change at the airport. I liked most the Alte Oper building, which feels as nice to me as the State Opera building in Prague.

You will be so lucky if you find shows during your visit. Otherwise the building it self is so great to see from outside.

We had stayed nearby and happen to be in town with the Kinder Festival going on. This was great. Our kids had a lot of fun with the various activities that were available.

The Alte Oper is located in a beautiful square with a fountain in the heart of the city. We didn't have opportunity to go inside, but the building is fantastic, mostly at night.

Hi John I see others have answered. I thought I saw some publicity about it while I was in Frankfurt. Sounds like it will be a wonderful few days. Have fun and safe travels.

Loraine, which concert are you going to? At least there is a "Abendkasse" which opens 1 hour before each concert where you can purchase last minute tickets. Should be possible to deposit already paid tickets there as well... More

Hi! If the concert is inside the opera, then I would definitely recommend wearing something chic. Not necessarily a tie, but a shirt and blazer will do! Hope I could help. Have fun at the concert!
