Top ways to experience Moco Museum Amsterdam
The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.

    A must-see in Amsterdam
A fantastic experience, wonderful art and l loved the interactive experience. So much fun!! My only slight criticism is that there were slightly too many people in the museum at one time making it difficult to see some exhibits. Still loved it.

A wonderful way to spend an hour or so
Situated in a beautiful part of the city, very near the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum and others; this gallery is well worth a visit. A stunning array of modern art from well known masters is compelling and breathtaking. The visual displays are also fantastic and make the experience a real sensory joy. Just be aware that you will probably have a few people getting pictures for their instragram / social media so patience is key! Worth it though.

    Amazing
It was really fun and the art is truly amazing if you’re found of street and contemporary art ! Hopefully we decided to go at the opening hour because as soon as people started to come it’s really not the same experience and you can’t enjoy the museum that much anymore. But it truly was a fun experience !!

Great art in tiny viewing rooms
I liked the different collections showed here. Good range and information. However, the flow of the house is confusing, and the rooms are too small. It is difficult to view the art without blocking doorways and other art.

    Excellent modern art
Very cool museum in Amsterdam! Lots of great work of modern art and don't forget to visit the basement for lots of interactive (i.e. Instagram worthy) photo opps. I think we spent about 45 min and the place was pretty crowded (make an online reservation), but it was worth it.

    Impressive Independent Contemporary Art Collection
MOCO Museum in Amsterdam, an independently owned art destination that stands out with its impressive contemporary art collection and Instagrammable art themes on the bottom floor. Expect to see new artists but also an NFT collection and Banksy. One other thing worth noting is that there is also another MOCO Museum located in Barcelona, offering its unique art experience in another vibrant city.

Superb contemporary art museum. Banksy Basquiat Warhol Haring
Located on the Museumplein, teh MOCO exterior is a 1904 townhouse. The interior houses a remarkable contrast: works by Banksy, Haring, Abramovic, Koons, Basquiat are joined by dozens of contemporary artists who use sound, interiors, light, video, and print as well as more traditional media. Very worthwhile visit. Don't forget to check out the sculpture garden in the front... several very interesting pieces there.

    Cool
A cool museum. Lots of great modern art, and a cool quirky building in it's own right. Particularly enjoyed the digital art. It's quite expensive for a fairly small museum, but a good way to kill an hour.

    Instagrammable but Busy
Interesting artworks which are enjoyable even if you aren't an "art person". Sizeable banksy collection and downstairs has the instagram famous light installations. Would benefit from selling fewer tickets per timeslot as the venue is a medium sized house which can get quite cramped as some passageways only fit 1-2 people at a time. Visited early on a weekday and was already busy

    11/10 experience
Absolutely loved the art. I was so excited to see the Basquiat and the Haring paintings. The whole place was very beautiful, clean and filled with kind people. I really enjoyed all the exhibits, and i have to say this was trully a taste of modern art.

Well worth the visit. We loved it. Great for adults and kids. We had teens with us and they really enjoyed the exhibits. Not too big so you can move through it quickly.

We were surprised at how small this museum was, and then when you consider that the bottom floor is currently a Robbie Williams exhibit that is really not very good, you realize this museum is pretty overpriced. There just aren’t a whole lot of actually good pieces of art to see here, and we even paid more for the tickets than we did for the Rijksmuseum. With that said, if you have nothing to do, or are particularly interested in seeing a few Banksy or Keith Haring pieces of art, it is worth it, but I probably would skip it if I had to do it again.

Experience was good, feel like it’s a little pricey for what it was. The art was interesting and the immersive experience was my personal favourite, but very short!

The art was very stimulating and impressive. The Robbie Williams exhibition was surprising and exciting. There was a large photograph of Jean Pierre Basquiat but I couldn't find any of his art which was disappointing. I guess he was there to enhance Andy Warhol and Keith Haring's street cred and tick some diversity boxes without you actually having to invest in some of his art. Reading afterwards on Keith Haring I note that his Estate's treatment of his collaborator LA 2 (Angel Ortiz) has been awful and disrespects Haring's memory in my view and ultimately devalues his work by leaving a sour taste.

Visited as it was so close to my hotel, didn't know anything going in but was great to see Banksy, Warhol and more. Plus, what I think was a temporary exhibition from Robbie Williams, which was a pleasant surprise! Looks like quite a small gallery from the outside but they pack in a lot over a few floors. Friendly staff too!

Amazing art, friendly and helpful staff, very clean and calm environment. Some rooms were very crowded making it difficult to see the art fully however this is expected when certain artists are featured, the temperature was also quite humid however the experience itself was great and we are excited to visit again on our next trip to Amsterdam.

Immersive, festive, close, personal and positive, modern and contemporary. Like a rainbow shower with a dash of reality and deepness.

Excellent museum, funny and full of gorgeous art. In parallel to the MOCO Museum in Barcelona, both are a great pair. The house was great to explore and the garden too.
