This was a situation that was completely clarified on the same day, we explained the reasons why our guide didn't show up. Was proposed as well to do this tour on the next day, something that was refused.
We understand the frustration about not having...More
If you are trying to find the BEST guide in Lisbon look no further. His knowledge is impressive, as are his patients (I am a pain in the ass, readily admit that) and his manner was always kind and helpful. My only regret was that...More
I wasn’t sure what to expect and was soon enthralled by Igor’s enthusiasm. We walked through well known and ‘secret’ areas looking at the street art created by international names and local artists. The tour was so much better than a tour bus— it was...More
Can not be more grateful for the amazing street tour Igor gave our group. I feel we got to experience "true" Portuguese living. Very informative, very accommodating to our interests. Thanking for bringing us to Deolinda Rocha's studio to purchase handmade tiles. Your information on...More
Dump you guide book. Let Igor walk you through Alfama, store by store, alley by alley, up and down incredible steep stairs, and along the way you will feel the history of this hundreds of years old neighborhood seeping: watch the faces, catch the way...More
So at first you’re waiting on your tour guide to show up and boom Igor appears with 2 bottles of water for us and starts the tour. We did a lot of walking and not only did he explain the street art he explained the...More
I booked this art walk tour last minute and the guide was able to get my and my friend in. If I could give this tour more than 5 stars , I would. Igor is an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable and very art oriented;...More
Walking through Igor’s local area was a very special experience. He combined history, art, culture and food with a great deal of knowledge and good humour.
I highly recommend his walking experience to see the real Lisbon.
My wife found the tour on "likealocalguide.com". We met Igor at 2:30 PM at a pleasant little restaurant "Flower Power" after a delicious lunch.
My wife and I are both engineers past 60 and think of most street art as grafitti, tagging, defacing of public...More

Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the
imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
