If you want a big night out in Lisbon, any night of the week, this is the place to do it. The locals are so damn friendly that one drink at 7pm turned into a bar crawl until 2am. No matter where you go, you are made to feel welcome and important. Literally one of the best nights…
It’s centrally locates, uphill from many of the places you’ll want to go, which means it’s well located. There are a lot of nice places on the way to eat.
Good shops and restaurants with plenty of choice. Very busy so had a nice buzz. Can walk around easily
A lovely area, with very narrow streets, and alleyways. You can walk it, but it is very hilly, or take the trams, worth spending some time here.
We spent about 3 hours one day and 1 hour another day exploring this neighborhood. It is super hilly (but pretty much all of Lisbon is), lots of little cafes/shops, we enjoyed the area and just admiring the 'old' neighborhood
