This museum is on one side of the Praca do Comercio, the main square, very easy to find. Inexpensive but simply done. Comes with audio and a wonderful earthquake experience. Be sure to go up to the second floor where there's an image on the...More

The tour is an hour long, with a narrator explaining the history of Lisbon, from its settlement by the phoenicians to the Earthquake and modern times. The story is interesting and told in a very good and interactive way. Definitely worth the €7 (and for...More

This was a great way to learn and “experience” the rich history and stories of Lisbon! Entrance fee was very reasonable, and it took us just a little over an hour to complete. My only regret is that we saved this experience for the end...More

We visited the Story Centre using our Lisboa Cards and were quite impressed at this informative exhibition. It provided an excellent background to modern day Lisbon in an imaginative way. Loved the audio commentary!

This museum does not tell an interesting or honest story, and in some places is deeply problematic. It predominantly tells the story of Lisbon’s earthquake, and manages to avoid two revolutions and a dictatorship unless you push one button on an interactive map upstairs. Without...More

Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site,
Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply
"Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake

earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its
name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in
Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the
