“Iconic market hall with a new function”
This building no longer functions as a market. It is a nightclub and restaurant. There isn’t much to see, and a lot of steps to climb.
This municipal market hall was built in 1885. It is located above the Jardim do Infante next to the Palacio da Bolsa. Currently, it is no longer used as a market. It is a cultural space with art exhibitions. During our visit, there was body painting.
A couple of restaurants and cafes, a photo exhibit of honestly so so art, not worth the climb up the stairs unless you need a toilet.

You cannot miss the view of the building if you plan to visit the Palacio de Bolsa. Its red color makes a nice contrast with the surrounding buildings.
