Another gem in Porto not to miss. Very nice park with beautiful view on the river Douro. It was lovely even in November.

Close to historical Porto, a great place to find a romantic atmosphere, a great view on the Douro, a rose garden and many secretive places v

Despite the dome being closed, the surrounding gardens and terraces are well worth a visit. There are roaming peacocks and views along the river and over the city. Visit the gallery and library too , the restaurant is very reasonably priced

This park is a beautiful and peaceful place to go if you want to get away from the crowds of Porto. The sound of animals and fountains surrounded by lots of trees is what I needed for a couple of hours to recharge.

We had the privilege of taking a quiet stroll through the tall trees, along water ponds, gaze at ducks and peacock families, then some great views over the Duoro River. It’s a very nice park - the only thing out of place was the huge...More

Sadly the palace was closed but the gardens sorrounding it were open and are a a beautifull place for taking pictures. I specially like the view you get, one can see most of the city and the riviera, it's breathtaking.

Definitely worth a visit for the lovely views of the Douro towards both the city and the coast. Very nice gardens. Pavillion Rosa Mota appears to be under some major renovation. Park has the added plus of bearing the name of the worlds best football...More

Beautiful park with breathtaking views over the river. On Sunday it has a book fair in the main avenue. There is a lake and teared gardens with lovely statues and fountains. It has peacocks ducks geese and bizarrely cocks that live in the grounds. Lovely...More

A lovely area of gardens with beautiful views over the river - especially in glorious sunshine (when we were there). There was also book fair there when we went - very interesting.

Hi there Not sure when the refurb will be completed. But the gardens are worth a visit. Take a picnic and enjoy the views. Regards, C.

I saw wedding photography going on, but not sure about the actual ceremony. It looks like the place does cater, but my guess is you would have to contact local government for details/permission.
