Our lady of the sea church A beautiful and unusual church with fabulous architecture and views over the sea and phonecian wall – should have its own listing!

The amazing structure that stands solid and enduring as it separates the sea from the mainland. I stood there in amazement as I watched and listened to the water take its unregulated course. The local authorities should place signs with a history of its existence...More

Check out the wall by boat. For less than $20 you can get a ride from Batroun Bay to explorer the beaches, restaurants, and site seeing in the area. Don't forget your hat and sunscreen.

There is nothing so special about the old Phoenician wall by batroun sea. There is no need to get adventurous and get closer to the wall as all what is to be seen can be done from a distance.

We were on our way to Tripoli and decided to stop and see the old wall, and were very glad we did. The wall was impressive, and we also were fascinated by the salt that had dried on the rocks beside it. It was a...More

Nice site that gives an idea of all the nations that conquered Lebanon. Very few ruins remain. Not sure it’s worth the detour but all in all happy to have seen it

The Phoenician Wall is relatively close to the Batroun Souks, so you can walk there if you are interested to see it, but it is not a must.

A historic place to see in every season. If you go at night you can feel the sea. Morning walks and the walls will be all yours.

Loved to be there. So natural So antique If you are there, pass by Don't miss it. It meant going so many years back in history, people that lived in that area and emigrated to America

While we were visiting the old city of Batroun we looked for and found the famous Phoenician Sea Wall. This is still a very impressive structure considering that it has been around for more than three millennia! The ancient Phoenician Sea Wall was originally a...More

There is no fee at all to visit the Phoenicean wall. It is only a small part that is left. Be carefull if you want to go and have a closer look: the terrain is very difficult o walk on.
