It’s ok if you want to have a quick visit to see the key Australian animals but we’ve definitely been to much nicer sanctuaries.

This is a small zoological establishment focusing on Australian wildlife and the quality of staff and conservation activities shone through. The staff were, without exception, friendly and engaging. The exhibits thoughtfully designed and the talks and shows educational and entertaining. It was enjoyable to see...More

We visited Moonlit Sanctuary around 3pm and found the experience to be OK, but not nearly as good as the Wilderness Safari on Kangaroo Island. We were able to see the koalas and birds, but by the time we arrived, the kangaroos and wallaby were...More

We had an excellent evening tour of the animals at the Moonlit Sanctuary. Natalie, our guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. There were only four of us and we had a private tour that felt very personal.

This was a very up-close visit with kangaroos, koalas, and it was lead by a conservationist who was obviously very dedicated to her animal friends. The kangaroos roamed freely and followed us around. We could pet them and feed them. I learned a lot about...More

No parking fee. You only pay an entrance fee. Get there before 10.30 am if you would like to do the sessions with a Koala . It makes it easier.
