I found that there were a large variety of goods on offer and prices to suit most economically-minded budgets. The atmosphere was very 'alegre' as they say, and ahappy time was had by all on our tour group.
We spend a few hours shopping in Puerto Morelos and visited the flea market area. Many of the vendors have the same items for sale. Not as pushy as Cancun.
We found a couple of values in original items.

This was a small place to walk around and gather souvenirs. Beautiful church. Stop by the grocery store first to get something to drink while walking around. People were very nice and not overbearing trying to sell you something.
Nice area and got quite a few shops markets around. Couple are expensive over the top crazy to buy. I nicely haggle them in one place got two items for price of three. They need the money more then I do.
My wife and I went into town while Staying at the Now Jade .
The people in town are very friendly and their market pricing is pretty good.
The new box store in town takes away the atmosphere as it is competing with the locals...More
