We went there for a short hiking on a very beautiful Saturday. We parked at West Head and walked to West Head Beach, Resolute Beach and Red Hands Trail. The trail has big trees and it would be fine even in the summer. We also saw some art work made by the Aborigines. The

My family incl 2 boys 11-12 went to Kuringgai. We parked in Resolute picnic, free w toilet, then took Easy grade walking track with lotsa caves as views to the Look out. Very nature and flat ex surface about 40min return. The lookout has fantastic view of Palm Beach across it.

A peaceful place. A lot of parking, big playground for kids, picnic area, toilets, good restaurants and plenty coffee shops including BBQs. 2 information centers with beautiful heritage buildings. Best view you can get from riverside, many choice of walk tracks. Queue for entry

took a boat tour and a bus tour, took us the whole day, but we didn't really see much. Nature is nice around, but less than elsewhere in Australia. Some education on Aboriginees which was very interesting, but didn't justify a whole day.
