I stayed at the nearby Grand Chancellor and made this park part of my daily commute. It is so beautiful and well maintained. On Sunday I was lucky enough to happen across a life music event at the stage in the park.
What a wonderful place to while a way a Sunday.
Very well taken care of garden, beautiful flowers to see, absolutely loved all the pretty walkways.
If you lucky there will even be a concert of sorts.

Centrally located, right beside aroma Street Railway station - access to the Parklands is so easy. You can enter the gardens by train station pathway ( easy peesy) or you can park your car,near Wickham Terrace, and just stroll in.

Yes, free. Parking is limited and you have to pay. You can jump on the train and get off at Roma Street station then you have a short walk to the Parklands. Cafe is expensive and not worth it, so take your own....cheaper... More
