A very informative guide, who explained the penal system that operated during the early-mid 1800's, the type of crimes committed, the way of life and conditions they experienced in goal. A "must do" visit!

I can thoroughly recommend the dramatisation of the life of a female prisoner. It brought to life the extreme hardship that these women faced. It was more extreme than what the men were subjected to at Port Arthur. Brought tears to my eyes.

We took the historic tour and saw the play ‘her story’. These brought the place to life and we learnt loads. Easy to get to using hop on hop off bus.

Her story dramatizedtour is brilliant and well worth the price. It brings alive what it must have been like for females transported to Tasmsnia. Not suitable for very young children but junior upwards. A great husband & wife team take you round the site and...More
