We enjoyed a bus trip to Port Arthur. Christian, the bus driver or Coach Captain as he suggested was friendly knowledgeable and did a great job. He took us to the Remarkable Caves as well which was quite fascinating. Great all day trip.
We chose the coldest, wettest day for our tour but absolutely had the best time. Christian our guide, ensured we had the opportunity to see all the beauty of Hobart, while providing great information and insight into its very interesting past. The visit to the...More

I did not go from Penguins to Salamanca. My family and I merely walked for 15 minutes thereabout from our hotel at the waterfront to Salamanca on a Saturday morning. So it would not be fair for me to tell you how to get there from Penguins by doing some research and pretending I have done such a trip. Perhaps someone else could have done that. Thanks and Best wishes!

In Queenstown for instance, they recommended the train journey (quite expensive though), Galley Museum (charts the town's progress through the Mount Lyell era) and RoamWild tours (they operate from the Paragon Theatre) and much more...
