What a great 2 days we spent with Heather Henri. You really can beat local knowledge and a passion for sharing her wonderful state of Tasmania. We were staying in Hobart and on Day 1 explored the Coal Valley for a taste of its food...More
We had an excellent guide, Dan. He arrived on the dot at 7.10 to pick up from hotel. It was an active day for me, 18000 steps. We walked quite briskly round Lake Dobson because it had started to snow. We had lunch by the...More
I was booked to do the Mt Field National Park day trip with Tours Tasmania on Sunday 3 November 2019. Another tour for the Saturday with another company was then rescheduled to the Sunday so it clashed with the Mt Field tour. I then cancelled...More
I, once again, had Andrew for my tour guide. There was only one other person on the tour with me, so we got to do a few extra excursions. With that being said, Andrew was super open to do whatever we wanted, and let us...More
I did this tour when I was visiting Tassie and it was absolutely amazing. I had Andrew as my tour guide, and he was very informative and took the time to get to know you. He was super friendly, and made sure that the group...More
Amazing tour, a huge site, with a complex history, intertwined with Australian past. If your in Tasmania is a must! Lavender fields are amazing. Richmond is a cute little town with great lolly stores and local artists stores.
I was pleased to discover this tour was available, as Cradle Mountain is a long way west of Launceston, but it's worth the long drive (especially if someone else is doing the driving). The stop at Sheffield is definitely worth it, the painted murals impressive....More
Thanks so much to Connor, Andrew and Rod (our tour guides) for going out of their way to help me get back the stuff I had left behind in the tour bus mistakenly on two consecutive days (first day, chocolates and second day, my camera),...More
The trip was great and our guide Nick was very helpful. As the weather was bad we could not see anything on top of Mt Wellington but at least I was happy I was there. Just before reaching the top we had a nice view...More

Hi Judy. There are many short tours and I did also while there the hop on hop of bus, which I really enjoyed as it showed a lot of Hobart and you can get of the bus to do some sightseeing. Can't remember exactly but I thought it was under thirty dollars. Enjoy and have an umbrella with you just in case.

I really don't know which other company I could recommend to you as I just joined the BIG3DAY tour. The big3day tour already spent the whole 3 days of us as they brought us to every point that were introduced on the web site itinerary. You would feel tired, day trip (from 8:00 am -6pm), after long bus journey.
If you think the 3 days trip is not enough, you could join 3 days trip + 1 day (Bridestowe Lavender Estate and Tahune Forest Air Walk). Then, you could spend your last day in Hoabrt city to walk around and relax.
The Big3day tour could bring you from Lauceston to Hobart(Bus travelling time 4 more hours). I think you start your trip at Lauceston is better as Lauceston is a place not many places for you yo visit.
One more thing to tell, the best season to go cradle mountain and wine glass bay is fromFeb to March. Last time we went up to the hill and can't see the view clearly because the weather was foggy. The Salamanca Market and "Taste of Tasmania" in Hobart city is worth to go but it is only held in Christmas to New Year.
