This cemetery, along with the Southern Cemetery, has been around since the early days of Dunedin. All the great figures of Dunedin society are buried here, including Larnach, so it is really fascinating to wander around looking at the inscriptions. The Council look after the...More

This has the Larnach "tomb" with all that money, still killed himself and still dead. But it's cool to visit. Pleasant cemetery to walk around with lots of old old plots.

There is a mini chapel as a tomb and is right next to the Botanical Gardens, the reason for the lower mark is not for the way the cemetery is kept or the age of the tombstones which my children enjoyed. For those who visit...More

The most well maintained and magnificent cemetery I've visited in New Zealand. The resting place for many famous persons including Larnach and the author of the NZ national anthem.
