This is the reason most visitors head to Glenelg for. Nice clean beach where you can chill away a few hours. All modern conveniences are just a stone's throw away. I imagine it will be extremely crowded in summer.

This is a great beach! Always lots of people around so you feel safe, but not too many that it's too crowded. There are some great cafes, take aways and restaurants close by so you don't need to go far.

Visited Glenelg beach while staying in Adelaide. It’s a short tram ride away. It’s a very clean beach, with plenty of places to eat and grab a coffee. I would definitely recommend while in the city

Lovely beach ... clean ...plenary of space. Lovely walkway and jetty. Plenty of places to eat and a tourist centre for information.

Caught the tram to Glenelg Beach. Spent the afternoon at Moseley Beach Club - relaxing on the bean bags under the beach umbrellas sipping Mocktails (Cocktail without the alcohol).

We found sea-glass, beautiful shells and enjoyed the penguin-family birds. The beach had no one but us on it before 7:30 am or after dark. Spring break was in session while we were there so during the days it was busy with people playing volleyball...More

No I didn't see any on the general beach. There is however a beach resort which can be utilised.
