One of the symbols of Prague, the Church of the Virgin Mary Before Tyn is the dominant feature in the Old Town. The church was built in the 14th century and used to be a primary place of worship for foreign merchants visiting the city.

Very beautiful church in the most visited and famous plaza. When we went there it was closed but you could see from the door glass. Outside the church is stunning. Along with the st Vitus are the most beautiful.
This church definitely stands out in the plaza but it also looks buried in stores. We walked around twice looking for the entrance and then found it within the store entrances. Ooops that was embarrassing. It definitely stands out in the skyline too if you...More
Interesting way to get in, as it is almost hidden behind outdoor cafes. We attended a concert of strings plus the organ of the Church - together they were very good. The church, itself is lovely at night and the altar area glows in the...More
This is one church you will often see when you hang around the old town square. The entrance is difficult to find: it is between the shops. We didn’t go inside but I have a fun fact for you: the twin towers are not the...More
WOW! What a beauty in the center of Old Town Square. Absolutely breathtaking. We did not go inside, but if you climb the tower of the astronomical clock, you get an amazing view of this incredible church.
Church of Our Lady before Tyn is located in Tyn Street, Old Town. There is no entrance fee but a donation is requested when you enter the church's main area. We spent about an hour here to enjoy the beauty of the Baroque decorations and...More
We were fortunate enough to be in Prague on a Sunday, when the churches unbend enough to allow you to enter free, without having to buy a ticket to a concert - which are very good, given the acoustics of a church. Our Lady of...More
Beautiful outside, a bit musty and dreary on the inside, however the typical church decor was beautifully done and typical of old Eastern European churches. Get into the church through archway in between the restaurants, go behind the outside seating areas to find the corridor...More
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the
modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
