We visited the palace primarily to view the art work and for the midday concert. The former was fascinating if only as an almost complete history of the family in a large series of portraits which given that they have had their estates confiscated twice...More

The audio tour is spoken by the ancestor of the Lobkowicz Family and it gave those people faces and bodies as the tour progressed. The palace is interesting and includes the average things of life and the weapons to protect the palace. Interesting artifacts and...More

Beautiful and historical abode. Recommend their branded beers and wines and a visit to their vineyard.

We had lunch followed by a concert and tour as part of our Viking River Cruise and while the food was pretty bland and unappetizing, the concert was nice and the tour of this family palace amazing. The views of Prague were stunning.

Enjoyable audio guided tour. Well composed and gave the listener a flavour of Prague's history. Reasonabley priced cafe and concerts performed most lunch times. Included in Prague card.

While the rest of Prague castle was over-run with tour groups the Lobkowicz Palace was pleasantly quiet. This may be because people are put off by the separate charge for admission. They should not be. As well as containing a host of items connected to...More

The Lobkowicz Palace is a wonderful example of how a royal family who fled from NAZI and then Communist expropriation of their property have returned and are working hard to restore and curate their centuries old history. Very much worth the modest fee to tour....More

Your experience in Prague will never be complete if
you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched
from the west to the north, provide spectacular views
of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone
streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green
gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses.
Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history.

Hi , I'd start at the Museum first so that you can always go back after the concert if you haven't finished. Leave the restaurant to last. Have fun, harry

I am afraid it is quite a walk .. even from the closest door of the castle -that you only go down hill with no stairs- it is a good 7-10 minutes walk
