Morskie Oko is reached via a 10 km gently graded paved pathway with occasional opportunities to take short cuts on paths of large smooth stones. Along the way you will see wildlife of all kinds if you keep a keen eye - beautiful birds, perhaps...More

This area is a hidden gem. Firstly, one must visit the tourist office in Tatranska Lominica. The staff are wonderful; the amount of information (largely free)( excellent. They have details of he many places one can visit in this unique region.

Our trip started in Krakow and then we drove down to the beautiful Tatra Mountains. We enjoyed them from both Poland and Slovakia and I would most definitely recommend. Fantastic places to eat, hike, swim and ski (season depending)!

Paradise for nature-lovers! Do put this on your itinerary if you find yourself in Poland. My two cents worth - Don't short-change yourself by doing a day tour, spend 2-3 days in Zakopane (or more!) and explore the glorious mountain range and the various trails...More

We booked tickets for the cablecar in advance as the queue was very long, a must unless you enjoy queueing for a while. During the cable car ride and the walks above provided a magnificent view of the landscape, plus the weather was perfect. A...More

The Tatras are environment protection area, so you can't swim within the Tatras. You can swim outside of the Tatras like e.g. Czorsztyn Lake, but that isn't more interesting than any other lake so not much of an attraction.
