Stare Miasto is the Old Town area of Krakow encompassing Wawel Hill and Rynek Glowny Central Square. Along with the Kazmierz Jewish District this area is the focus for most tourist visitors to Krakow.

Stare Miasto has beautiful churches and buildings. Even the residential buildings are well maintained and look beautiful. The main square offers lovely experiences like the food stalls the quaint shops and the trams.

Loved the varied colored buildings, Many outdoor restaurants for good eating or just coffee. Some local entertainment made the area really come to life. Especially beautiful at night.

Having travelled much of Poland, this would be my favourite “Stare Miasto” that I’ve visited. The crowds, energy, preserved building, market square, food and local watering holes make this the best one. The parks surrounding it, are perfect to stroll through anytime of year.
