Being in Bratislava you have to see Devin Castle, cca 20 minutes from centre by public transportation - you go up to Svatopluk station and go by nice walk up to the castle. There you will have nice view to confluence of river Danube and Moravia
This is a must see when visiting Bratislava. Out of town but worth it. Castle ruins but the history of the site is impressive And the views from the top of the castle up and down the Danube are fantastic. Must be amazing when this castle comes into sight from a river cruise…

A great place to visit for half a day. It can be easily and inexpensively reached by bus from downtown Bratislava or for that matter with a changes of buses from Vienna. Views are amazing!
We went in February and the public toilets were shut. There’s nothing nearby so our visit wasn’t for too long. Easy to get to by bus and a short walk. Good walk around the large ruin castle. Very pretty lake view.
