Tallinn absolutely deserves its UNESCO status. We visited in the cold in November so it was great to wander about and enjoy the City and views without the tourists. There were very few tourists in early November. Lots of beautiful buildings to admire and photography...More

Like in a movie, but very many tourists. Very crowded at some times, but very cute. Try to avoid the bars on the main squares and do visit Teliskivi. Krahl baar and Burger Box are my favorite places to eat with the locals.

A remarkable and historic fortified town with an incredibly disturbed history, even to recent times. Despite the tourist accretions, it has left a powerful impression with me.

It’s a must see if you are in Tallinn! Great area to walk around in and you’d be surrounded with old buildings

Other than Praque, this is perhaps the most "medieval" town you can in the world. Smaller than Praque but walkable everywhere when you are in old town. Petite but it's got everything you need, and cheaper than Praque. Highly recommend as a vacation point. And...More

Did you know Reval (Tallinn) was an independent Hanseatic city-state for hundreds of years? Or that Lower German (Plattdeutch) was the de-facto official language of the whole country for nearly 700 hundred years. Or that Revalsche Zeitung was the first daily newspaper in Estonia? And,...More

Tallinn is a peaceful city. You feel the silence once you start walking on the streets. The old town is very beautiful. There are shops and restaurants under the houses were normal citizens are living. So past and present are living together. We enjoyed walking...More

Very good pricing. We travelled from Finland via boat and found some prices to be 50% less than in Finland. Boat was full of shoppers coming back with many full shopping bags.

I'm sorry to be sooo late in my reply. I have been incredibly busy and only now logged back into TA. I really wish they'd send an email when people ask questions about posts. We were only in Tallinn one day.
