An absolutely magnificant building. Very European artistically, especially the ceilings. The main reading room was spectacular. Plus there is an original copy of the Guttenburg Bible on the 1st floor! Highly recommend.

We attended a free concert of Fretwork, the viola quintet, performing with countertenor, Iestyn Davies...SPECTACULAR and beautiful music. If you live in the D.C. area and don't take advantage of these chances to hear world class musicians for free you're REALLY missing out on one...More

I would plan 2-3 hours so as not to rush. The tour guides seem very good. My cousin works there so she took us around herself. Much more than a library!!
