The site looked and felt like an oasis with many churches and convents in the area. The baptism site was not overrun by tourists when we arrived at around noon. There were church services provided to some small groups, a convenience store, WCs, etc.

Honestly, who knows where the exact place of Jesus' baptism took place? Our tour guide from the Jordanian side, that theirs was more authentic and the Israeli said theirs is more authentic.
