I enjoyed our visit to the King Abdullah Mosque. The bazarr at the front was nice with the sales assistant offering us some local tea. In order to enter the mosque you need to wear one of the black robes and cover your head. You...More

The outside of the mosque with its blue dome is probably the most interesting for none-Muslims. The interior is, besides nice carpeting, not of any interest. Only if you (none-Muslim) cannot anything to think of doing in Amman this might be worth visiting. Our Muslim...More

Set high on the hill the beautiful blue dome shines. Inside is calm and peaceful with plush carpet and ornate door handles. Women are required to wear full length garb which is available to borrow for your visit.

I visited the Mosque in the late morning and it was quiet, peaceful, and very beautiful. There is a nice museum and a shop that belongs to Jordan River Foundation, which helps children and refugees.

The museum could use english translation to understand the various artifacts contained within. The masjid should have good directions.

We were denied entry to this place by the security guard and also, not allowed us to take pics of the mosque from the front. The shop through which you enter is a great place, the shop owner was a great guy.

You have to dress up in robes to go in and there really isn't much to see. The entry is a shop with hot tea, but fairly high-pressure sales that you must pass through. Not a must-do in Amman by any shot.
