It is place where we can know the culture of a community which is of thousands years old with slight modern touch. The handicrafts are quite worthy as a souvenir. The boat ride for visiting the village is amazing.

Paid 50 USD to go to this village. The boat trip up to there was nice, the Nile river is fabulous, but the village itself does not really worth the trip. The guide will take you to a home where they have connections, and will...More

We took a boat ride from where our river cruise ship was docked and had a great and enthusiastic guide who was well versed in bird watching and pointed out many different species up the river. Delightful scenery and an added bonus of stopping at...More

This was part of a group tour. Majority of the group had good time there and found nice souvenirs. I went off the market and wondered in the village which was a good experience. All of us were shocked by the cruelty toward alligators.

This was one of the add-on packages to the tour. We reached the village from Aswan in a boat. The boat ride was through beautiful Nile waters, lots of birds, absolutely beautiful banks, sand dunes at one place and a banana plantation at another…One can...More

Not much there. Shops for tourists.kids bothering you for money or camel rides. We visited the house pf a local, everything is staged. The boat ride was nice though but kids in boards will grab the boat, sing for less than a minute and ask...More

Boat ride to village very nice. Our guide took us to a home and just kept telling us to walk through the house, where they were getting ready for wedding. Felt a bit awkward so declined. Pointed us to some handy crafts then pointed to...More
