It can't possibly take more than 10 minutes to see this entire museum (even if you read every placard. It's still worthy of a quick visit. Current ticket prices is 100 EGP. They didn't mind us taking photos with our camera (no flash). No extra...More

After doing other museums in Egypt, you can generally find mummies that are better in Cairo and crocodile mummies better for free if you enter Kom Ombo crocodile museum at the end of the temple.

Small museum located down a flight of stairs from the corniche, don't expect anything on the scale of the Luxor museum but its still a lovely little museum. I paid the extra for a photo pass but, flash photography isn't allowed however you can get...More

This small museum is interesting. It has a few human mummies, as well as some more interesting mummified animals. The tools used for the process are also on display. If you are looking for a little time to kill - this has its place. I...More

A small very badly lit museum, you may have trouble reading the labels. To be frank I wouldn't bother if you have already seen the Cairo museum. Only one mummy on display and the artefacts are not of the best quality.

The museum is small but it shows an overview on the mummification process. It is on the way to luxor museum and could be visited in 45 min.

This museum is on the small side, and is dedicated to mummification. Not very explanatory, more of a variety of displays of mummified items and creatures. If you have a free afternoon, it fills the time nicely. Nothing particularly significant. It is clean and has...More

Our visit to the Luxor Mummification Museum was a short < 1 hour visit since we’d seen the Royal mummies at the Cairo Egyptian Museum. Still, the contents of this small museum would be showcase / centerpiece displays if located outside of Egypt. If you’ve...More

MAKE sure your last meal was a while ago when you visit Luxor’s Mummification Museum on the Corniche. It was close enough to my hotel for me to enjoy the walk up past Luxor Temple and arrive at the entrance which is well marked with...More
