Next week (31 Au 2019) we plan to take our students there, an annual experience of over 16,000'. The Llamas, Alpacas, y Vicunas are a treat to view grazing openly.

Who would have thought Arequipa had its salt flats! We saw wildlife, Andean scenery and salt. Beautiful region not far from town

Our train journey stopped en route for us to visit the Sumbay Cave Paintings. These paintings were made by the earliest inhabitants of South America and are well preserved. Worth a look if in the area

A little crowded for my liking but worth it Went to Salinas. Views are gorgeous. A little too many alpacas.

Instead of rushing through the Reserve - that the coaches for Colca Canyon visitors do - we made stops with our taxi and enjoyed viewing Vicunas in their wildlife and did a hike at the river to watch water birds
