It used to the be the railway station but is now a library and/or a place which exhibits we not sure what.... Found it disappointing. Very useful if you need clean public toilets or a place to sit and relax. Sorry

As a "tourist" to Lima I was happy to find this place while walking around the Lima central district area, I got the chance to learn a little vit more about peruvian literature over different times. The house of literature is located in the former...More

The Casa de la Literatura is in the old train station, so the building is pretty neat. There is a gorgeous skylight over the main staircase, and a second one on the lower level. There are exhibits in several rooms, but we didn't find them...More

I expected this place to have a fully functioning library however I was disappointed not to find one. Despite this, the place is incredibly well designed and is very modern. It features a number of small museum-exhibits and art works.

Just loved this place. What good use of the old station! It has the most beautiful stained glass roof I have seen. Lovely art work on display and just an aesthetically pleasing building. Pity there are no longer trains!

This was a train station that the government converted into a library and literature showcase. Right near the main square in kind of an inviting iconic setting. I enjoyed a quick visit as part of our tour. Worth checking out, two blocks at most from...More

It's like a very small library and it shows a short exposition but I loved the building, it's architecture and it's history! The exposition, even if it was short, was beautiful and very insightful! It takes like 15 to 30 minutes but it's such a...More

This is a quirky under visited gem close by the Presidential Palace and Plaza de Armas. The building itself is a former train station and interesting to study. Well decorated with paintings and a fascinating map of the 30 plus languages spoken. There is a...More
