This temple demonstrates some of Machu Picchu's finest stonework. The semicircular building is though to have been used as an astronomical observatory.

... definitely a must for those that did not go for the Huayana or the Machu Picchu mountain hikes. Excellent views .

Close your eyes and make a giant step in the past ... just amazing place and special thanks to our guide! The combination of astronomy & architecture is very impressive. Of course, this is part of Machu Picchu visit.

It is about 45 mins each way from the guardhouse in the Machu Picchu. It is a good hike if you have free time to exercise. Not worth the time if you are there for the view though...
