We only had a weekend Nov 9-10 free while working in Peru, so decided about 5 days earlier if it was feasible to visit MP and some of Sacred Valley just in a weekend. After doing some preliminary research, found it was possible. There was...More

This is a gorgeous place to visit. It's one of the most famous places in the world and it's breathtaking. The mountains, the history, the remnants of an old city. It all adds up to a wonderful time that you can't recreate elsewhere.

Machu Picchu is really magic! The context surrounding the "ancient city" is also majestic. I advice to enter at 6 am (booking the ticket at that time) because with less people the place is also more beautiful. When I went I was also lucky because...More

One of the places to know before you die. For the landscapes, for the mountains, for what I leave that civilization, for the conditions in which that city was preserved (to thank the Spaniards for never having found it). The city of Machu Pichu travels...More

I went there with my wife, we hiked a steep incline along a cliff edge and far below us, we could see wild deer and llamas roaming the valley. The view was incredible, we passed through rainy jungles and freezing cold stretches of the trail

We were fully prepared for this moment - to see the amazing Machu Pichhu. We have no regrets. Words can never describe the experience and the awe inspiring sights we had seen in this magical place.

What can I say? Just go visit by all means! A truly magic place where you will witness the combination of human architecture and the beauty of nature. Totally love it and of course the llama:)

If you are going to Machu Picchu then you will no doubt have done your research and have a good idea of what to expect. My additional tips will be to (if your budget permits) stay at the Belmond Sanctuary which is located right at...More

My girlfriend and I visited Machu Picchu in low season November 2019, which probably avoided much of the crowds people often talk about in high season. Machu Picchu was the starting reason why we came traveling to South America. This has been on my bucket...More

They're not mosquitos, and not huge. They're tiny, with very nasty bites. I still have the remnants of the bites after 3 weeks (mid October visit). Use a good insect repellent liberally!
