TasliHan is an old preserved ruins in the center of the city. Few stones with many destroyed ones, believed to be columns.
TasliHan was a caravan inn built in 1543. Accommodation was free and it had stables for 70 horses. It is best to see this on the Free Walking Tour of Sarajevo, when your guide will explain the history of it.
We briefly stopped here during our Walking Tour. My guide explained. what this place is all about. Trading used to happen here in earlier times. There would be areas for overnight stay and where horses would be taken care of. Today, there are just ruins and rubbles!
This is a must for tourists. This is the ruins of meeting, resting and trading place days gone by made by stone.
These are the remains of one of the first hotels in Sarajevo, right next to old town bazard. This hotel was constructed with funds given by Gazi Husrev Beg, governor of Sarajevo in the 1500s that donated most of his fortune to develop the infrastructure of the city at the time.
