In those 4 cities I've visited such edifices, a strong (and ugly) reminder of the Soviet domination past. Also the order from my headline resembles their grandeur. The biggest are in Moscow, the famous seven sisters, while this in Bucharest is the smallest one. There's...More

Didn't get to go inside this huge Communist style building, but taxi driver made sure to point it out and tell me about it. It's a pretty ugly building- typical of the style... did remind me of Stalin's sisters in Russia.

This structure is worth seeing, as it is a perfect example of the colossal architectural style during Romaina's communist past.

The building is located at the end of Kiseleff Avenue. It is nice and clearly designed based on the Stalinist buildings in Moscow.

Never had anything to do with a free free just the opposite. An imposing example of the ugliness of most "communist" style buildings. You can see them still in most of the ex-Warsaw Pact countries. One wester writer once titled a chapter of his "travel"...More

Having seen all the 'Seven Sisters' plus the Triumph Palace, the new 'Eight Sister', in Moscow we immediately recognised this impressive edifice on first glimpsing it on our way from the airport. It was fascinating to discover that a race track was the predecessor of...More

Whenever I get a chance to walk or drive by this building, I somehow hope I'd be lucky enough to visit it. Unfortunately, it's still not accessible to the public, so one can only stare at the Communist-looking structure from the outside.

It's good Just for a fast view during a walk to the metro or the surrounding area. Better try it before 10 or after 18:00 as it is very hot.
